Chris Schopen is a Wellness Trainer for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Throughout her 30-year career, Chris has worked as an educator, therapist, forensic interviewer, school counselor, expert witness, and author. The primary focus of her life’s work has centered on trauma and abuse, working in English and Spanish with neurotypical and neurodivergent victims and their families. She has interviewed over 5000 victims, nationally and internationally. As a trainer, Chris enthusiastically shares her knowledge and experience with multidisciplinary audiences on trauma-responsive engagement and effective communication. She takes pride in continually exchanging ideas with her community of allied professionals, promoting the self-care of those with repeated job exposure to trauma.

Sara Micflikier is a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Micflikier works in the Sex Crimes Bureau of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, handling complex cases of sexual assault and sexual offenses against minors, as well as handling the post-conviction caseload that encompasses sex offender probationers and the Sexually Violent Person civil commitment proceedings.  Ms. Micflikier has specialized in the prosecution of cases involving Child Sex Trafficking and has instructed in the field to both local and national audiences.
