Sarah Mostyn is a Senior Research Associate with the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF). In that role, Mostyn provides research, programmatic and logistical support to numerous projects, including PERF’s Critical Issues in Policing Series, Executive Search services, and work funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). Sarah is currently the staff lead on PERF’s most recent project with OVW examining gender bias in sexual assault investigations. She co-authored PERF’s report, Executive Guidebook: Practical Approaches for Strengthening Law Enforcement’s Response to Sexual Assault (2018). She was also a lead researcher and author on the PERF report, The Workforce Crisis, and What Police Agencies Are Doing About It (2019).
Sarah graduated from American University with a master’s degree in Public Policy and dual BAs in Psychology and Justice & Law.
