Kristina Lawler

Kristina Lawler’s passion for victim services started in Ohio, where she graduated with degrees in Social Sciences and Criminology. While in college, Kristina worked in childcare at the local domestic violence shelter and was promoted to Community Advocate upon graduating from Capital University. During this time, Kristina grew her passion for direct service by also volunteering as a Hospital Advocate, for the Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio. In 2010, Kristina joined the Columbus City Attorney’s Office as an Advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. She assisted crime victims through their first contacts with the criminal court system, and liaised with multiple local police officers and detectives, as the Arraignment Court/Felony Liaison until 2018. Kristina and her partner moved to Chicago in 2018, where she started with the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM) as a Victim Advocate, supporting victims of impaired driving crashes. In 2022, she transitioned into her current role as AAIM’s Director of Victim Services and continues her passion for direct services by providing support for AAIM’s wonderful team of Victim Advocates.
