Originally from France, Dr. Alice Bourgeon moved to the US during her childhood where her interest in healthcare and animals developed. She attended Western University of Health Sciences to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduating in 2020, she pursued a shelter internship at the San Diego Humane Society and then a surgery internship at VCA California Veterinary Specialists (Carlsbad). She is now an associate veterinarian back at the San Diego Humane Society to further her interests in small animal surgery, community-based medicine, and HVHQ spay and neuter programs. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling. She currently has two pets: a standard poodle named Noodle and an orange tabby called Baguette or “The Gremlin.”
