Virtually every agency recognizes the need to ensure that the multiple systems that they use in-house everyday are able to effectively share information. From traffic citation systems to crash reporting to legacy and current records management systems, they all contain critical information that is difficult to access. Aaron Gorrell of Waterhole Consulting will help agencies understand the critical success factors for successfully integrating systems. He will also drill into a number of federal initiatives such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), the Global Reference Architecture (GRA) and technologies such as Extensible Markup Language (XML) and talk about how these capabilities might relate to your initiative. Finally he will address the unique project management challenges that integration projects face including budgeting, vendor management and change management.
