This webinar will step participants through a comprehensive approach to firearms related investigations. A successful investigation begins at the crime scene and the chances of a successful investigation improve with the development of a specific protocol to ensure the correct handling and documentation of firearms, forensic examination and use of tools such as NIBIN and eTrace. ┬áDetective Stephen Barborini and Laurie Van Deusen with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division will share their investigative approach for ensuring that detectives rapidly develop and investigate actionable leads and how their firearms investigation protocol has evolved over the years.
