Bryon O’Neil is a Deputy in the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. He is a traffic crash and criminal reconstruction with a background using 3D laser scanning to document crash and crime Scenes, as well as a certified FARO Trainer. Bryon uses the 3D laser scanner data to recreate crashes to include creating animated representations of collisions and combining the animated vehicles with the point cloud data to create a presentation that leaves an impact on juries. In addition to this, he also currently serves as president of IAFSM (International Association of Forensic & Security Metrology). IAFSM an organization comprised of experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, including law enforcement, military, forensic engineers, crash reconstructionists, and security professionals whose common element is the use and development of high-precision measurement systems in their field.
