Amy Morgan is the founder and Director of Academy Hour, a training provider offering mental health & leadership courses to law enforcement and first responders. She has earned a Master’s degree in Counseling, and has also founded the Certified First Responder Counselor training & certification program for counselors who want to work with first responder and law enforcement clients. Ms. Morgan is a mental health trainer for the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office & SWAT team, the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police, the Oklahoma Sheriffs’ and Peace Officers’ Association, the Justice Clearinghouse, the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST)/Envisage/FirstForward, and many other departments and agencies as requested. She is TECC-LEO (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care for Law Enforcement Officers) certified and a CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) individual responder.
Ms. Morgan is a certified trainer for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and is trained as a QPR (Question Persuade Refer) trainer as well as a Crisis Prevention Institute Non-Violent Physical Crisis Intervention trainer. Additionally, she is Oklahoma Supreme Court certified as a civil mediator, and she has achieved Mensa membership status.
