Amy Morgan is the Founder and Director of Academy Hour, Using her experience working with Law Enforcement and First Responders, as well as her Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science and Master’s in Counseling, Ms. Morgan has developed an online catalog of mental health training courses specifically for the responder population. Additionally, she has developed a cultural competency training program for counselors who want to work with First Responders, called the Certified First Responder Counselor. To integrate the counselors and the First Responders, and to help train peer teams, Ms. Morgan has also developed a training program called the Certified Peer Support Leader / Teammate. Additionally, she is the developer of Cease Fire Training, a mental health training block designed for use within police & responder academy programs. Amy travels the country teaching mental health topics to First Responders and manages the online training programs for Academy Hour.
Ms. Morgan is a webinar instructor for the Justice Clearinghouse, and numerous other justice and public safety organizations. She also serves as an advisory board member for several organizations, such as the Warriors Rest Foundation and Fire Captain Ryan J. Mitchell’s First Responders Behavioral Health Support Program. She also serves as a Wellness Support Staff Member for Survivors of Blue Suicide. Amy specializes in trauma, and suicide, and primarily serves First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers in her work
